The Accordion is Back in America, and that is a good thing. With all thanks to American Cajun and Zydeco foot stomping, butt kicking, make you want to get up and dance music. This Modern Day American Accordion Music ROCKS. Polkas don't rock, Cajun, Zydeco, Blues, Country, Rockabilly, Swampabilly Rocks. If this Music were more prevalent in the 60's, the accordion would not have lost out to Lawrence Welk's American bubble music. Folks young and old want to dance, and become part of the music and entertainment.. When the Music ROCKS.... like Rock and Roll, Rhythm and Blues, Reggae, Cajun and Zydeco, Swampabilly, Rockabilly, and even Country... it resonates our primitive body rhythms.. play that music around a little kid, and they will immediately start dancing.. The Accordion in the hands of a Rocker will make you scream and stomp your feet in delight. The Accordion in classical and ethnic music.... Mexican, Polish, Austrian, French, Italian is also very sweet.. actually The Accordion IS the most popular Instrument in the WORLD. More Accordion Players In China than any other Country.... In China Accordion Music is taken very seriously and professionally than in any other Country. The Piano Accordion is two instruments in one. The left and Right Hand play two different instruments... Put an amplifier on that left Hand and you got heavy Duty bass and Chord Rhythms that Rock! When the Accordion turns on the electronics is can be a Hammond organ, piano, fiddle, saxophone. Reeds -what is in an acoustic accordion- sound wonderful with string instruments. An Accordion can be the Bass Man, The Rhythm Guitar, and the lead instrument with vocals all at the same time.. when playing alone... In a dance band the accordion does a little of all these things in conjunction with the other musicians.
