Colonel Burpee's article re: muslim citizens in the United States Military is enlightening, and though I was aware of many different ethnic groups fighting in our military, I did learn something that puzzles me. In the last sentence Cololel Burpee says we have the "old world and the new, and they are the new". If they are fighting for their freedom, as members in our military, are we not to be as one group? Neither old nor new, but present?
Neither should push their beliefs on the other, however, we are WE / OUR, not I / MINE.
I also notice he mentioned God in the lower case. I mentioned muslim for him to feel ,what I personally felt, when God should be capitol, as should Muslim. It offends believers, whatever their faith might be.
