2 Park Slope Fathers Dream Big: A Charter Middle School

Submitted by Jacob H. Yahiayan, Jul 9, 2007 17:28

The sad reality about the new charter school is there is inventoy the middle school fka as John Jay HS. We were amongst the first 80 families who sent their kids to the new middle schools (Law, Journalism, etc). Whilst we commend the efforts of the administrators, the school did not have a robust program, and we wound up moving our kids out to private school. Our second child attends Southampton Intermediate School, a public school. Hardly any parrent from Park Slope sends their kids to the middle schools right in the heart of Park Slope.
