Circumcision Becoming Less Common in U.S.

Submitted by Michele Lyons, Jul 9, 2007 17:39

This article is very important in bringing to the public eye what many Jewish and non-Jewish mothers already practiced - bringing their baby home whole. If more Jewish families knew that circumcision is not Jewish anymore. The modern Jewish trend embraces homosexual love & marriage, gender (and particularly female) equality, and natural children - both girls and boys - that are protected from barbaric circumcision ritruals. I have known that I would never circumcise my child since I first heard of such a thing. A bris gives your child a name and does not in any way require cutting or harming your child. A child is Jewish by being raised Jewish, and there will be more and more intact Jewish boys as more women and mothers are educated.
