I don't think you are either "clear thinking" or a "Conservative".

How you can say that programs like national security,Education, infrastructure and healthcare are better off in the hands of the government boggles the mind.

The government has failed at any large program it has attempted. Education in the country is in a shambles. In my former position I was incharge of a medium sized company in the Midwest. tTrying to find employees who, with a high school education that couldaccomplsh simple tasks involving reading, writing or math was a major challenge.

Infrastructure, take a 100 mile ride to anywhere and you will see what failure here is!

Healthcare, Hillary tried and failed. Medicare is a decent program but it is unable to support itself as designed. You threw in the VA as a highly successful program for Veterans, HUMBUG!!! If it was, why the flap at Walter Reed Army Hospital? Give me a break! You mentioned Social Security as a viable socialized retirement program. All I have to say is 1st, read the history of Social Security when FDR started it and look at it through time to what it is now. Then try and figure how an average paid worker could even think of existing on his "socialized retirement program" especially after paying for his socialized healthcare program etc.

I saved national security for last. It is not working the way it should. If it did we would not have had 9/11! If it did work, we would not have lunatic liberal Senators taking pot-shots at every intelligence operation and covert action. Homeland Security is a start but the Congress MUST UNSHACKLE the various intelligence arms that we have and allow them to work at what they do best.

The thing that you so artfully bring out s BIG GOVERNMENT will do better. It can't and it won't. The mail problem with government is that it needs to be run as a business and not as some egotistical politicians plaything with unending funds via our taxes.
