History shows us time and again that government is at best, ineffecient, and usually dangerous. These days, it takes forever simply to get to the right person--and that's if you get a computeriized system. If you get a person on the line, around here, you're lucky i ff they can speak enough Engoish to answer your questions or direct you to the right person. Usually they don't.

Liberals compl;ain all the time about how much defense items cost. The reason for that is not because defense contractors charge so much. And it certainly isn't because the militarr gets paid so much--their pay sucks. They should get paid what our Congress does, and Congress should bget paid what they do. The reason for the costs is bureaucracy. Even coffee has a 20 to 50 page Mil Spec When government is involved it takes many bureaucrats to develop the forms and paperwork, to write manuals on how to fill out and check the forms and paperwork, which clerks usually can't figure out. Bureaucrats also require several committees to review everything, and usually everyone has to talk even if he has nothing relevant to say.l Meanwhile, you are waiting and waiting and waiting---and its costing more and more.

Think of the IRS, the NYC BOE, even ICE. You do not want that ind of bureaucracy involved in your health care. You'd be dead before you could get an appointment with a specialist---ask the Canadians who come here and pay cash to get treated.

And you NEVER NEVER NEVER want to put that ind of power in the hands of government. You baby boomers, if you're over 55 certain surgeries will not be allowed you---that's what they do in Canada, ration care by age. How about Erurope? Well, Brits come here and have set up an alternative systeml. In the Netherlands, if a baby is born with serious defects, the doctors kill it The parents have no say. Recall what the Nazis did with health care, and that alone should warn everyone who ever lives that you don't want the government to have control of your health care.

The fact is you don't need insurance to get health care---tens of millions of illegals get everything they need and are banrupting hosptials all lalong the borde.l We have always had free or low cost clincis and many doctors and dentists do free days or have a sliding scale for patients. Most of our "uninsuraed" are a*) illegals; b) young people who do not want to pay for insurance; or c) higher income people who simply pay as they go.

But it is also time for people to be responsible and save for health care needs as they would save for retirement.l Why should someone else pay for AIDS treatment for irresponsible people when those people have expensive homes, clothes, cars, tecnical devices. Sometimes you just have to be responsible and pay for your own health care and forego the toys.l Unfortunately, too many people, including those who can afford it, thinj they are entitled toi have someone else pay for alll their needs, while they spend what they earn on toys.l That is robbing your neighbors.l No one has a right to have someoe else pay for them, unless they are the parent or child of the payee.l
