Daniel Pipes clearly states one of the most in depth, at the same time simple to follow analysis I have read recently on Iran. Without such analysis, one is likely to imagine not so many way-outs remain for the US in Iraq, and it should sooner or later either give in to the blackmail of the mullahs ruling Iran and fomenting trouble out in Iraq or set out on another wild goose chase, this time in Iran. In fact, it is a mistake to think there is no other way in the face of the Iranian crises. Daniel Pipes speaks of using MEk rather as a tool to terrorize the mullhas, one can rather think of a more long-term solution given the support the movement enjoys in the country, especially with recent chaos in Iran
