Maybe we shouldn't be so hasty in shipping out garbage. The way the sealevels are rising - about 1/8" per year and accelerating - we may yet need that garbage to buffer NYC coastline in a few years. Or, barring that, maybe just expand the coastline now to complete the Greenway around Manhattan.
