Scores of Residential Condos Go Up on the East Side

Submitted by Linda Friedman, Jul 10, 2007 16:09

I live on 40th Street and 2nd Ave and have a great terrace on a top floor. Finally I can see the East River and not have to look at a building. Do you know how beautiful it would be to see a park with trees and grass and not anymore concrete? Say good bye to any views that the Churchill, Archstone and other buildings will have. I'm only hoping that they do a park on 39th and 40th St.

This city being so greedy for money, scaffolding going up all over the place, more condos, pushing small businesses out of business, when is it ever going to end. I live with dust coming in from construction and the constant noise of jack hammering. Wait until these people in those new condos hear the noise of the helicopters going back and forth all day.

Are we ever going to have a "Green" city?
