I would like to add as a foot note that the only reason that Columbia University even currently has ( wayyy off campus) a ROTC is because they were forced to. Columbia wanted all of the Federal money but not accomidate ROTC. They currently make it nearly impossible for a student at Columbia to even know that there is a ROTC program at Columbia University! Not so supprising when Columbia regularly fails to fly the American Flag.
