The US economy is by far the largest in the world and by folds when compared to the second position, perhabs Japan or the UK. In Canada for example, a weaker dollar will result in less Canadian dollars when converted. This makes canadian made products more expensive to Americans and International buyers since everybody holds american dollars.
If your country depends on exports for revenues; a weaker dollar will more than likely heart it's economy.
