Disclaimer: I've never been to Grom.

Ice cream at Cold Stone costs more than $4.95. If people all across lower-cost-of-living-middle-America are paying $5 and $6 for chain store ice cream, is it unreasonable to think that an authentic, "imported" product in one of the most expensive markets in the country can demand the same premium? You might get more ice cream, but is it better and do you need more?

People who blindly follow trendy stuff are lemmings. But so are people who blindly reject stuff they think is trendy. If I refuse to go some place because everyones goes there, how is that different from actually going to said place because everyone goes there? The former person thinks he is so independent and alternative, but he is using the same heuristic to make his decision, just the opposite side of the coin.
