I grew up with the new Mass, but started attending a Latin Mass 8 years ago. Boy do I prefer the traditional Latin Mass! The Latin Mass, with its beautiful rituals, is typically celebrated in a Church with stained glass windows, candles, incense, statues, and has a choir singing Gregorian chant or traditional hymns accompanied by an organ. You don't need to understand Latin--the missals have the English side by side with the Latin so you can follow along in either language. The atmosphere is spiritual, contemplative, and focused on God. Contrast that with some new Mass churches bereft of such an atmosphere and stripped of all links with tradition, with the tabernacle hidden away and some guy on a guitar strumming "Kum Ba Yah." And by the way, I never read or heard anything anti-Semitic at Latin Mass, so chill out!
