The Wrong Direction

I have Stage 4 Head and Neck Cancer diagnosed 14 May here in Canada. The only country in the world where the break through drug Erbitux is not available. Approved just not available. The hospital called today to put my radiation off until 24 Jul another 5 day extension. But even then they refuse to deliver the type of radiation that best suits my cancer due to limited resources. They turn the radiation machine off at 7:00 o'clock and go home. They don't want to pay 15 minutes overtime which would increase my survival percentage by about 10%. My father has metastatic colon cancer the only drug that will help him is you guessed it Erbitux. Killing 2 generations with one idiotic policy. Although if you call the drug people in Ottawa you have a choice of three agencies all with voice mail in both official languages. If you get cancer in Canada mortgage the house and run don't walk to the border.
Cheers
Larry
