Study: Traffic Tax Plan Could Fund Free Subway

my father said IT long ago,"they only want IT for the rich." It being the island of Manhattan.

He continued that Times Square would be sanitized,

Hells Kitchen, lower east side etc would become gentrified and we'd all be kicked out..

transit fares would become exhorbitant. Was a dime then .

and Manhattan would become a gated community, only for the rich---we would be permitted on and off for employment purposes only and would be tracked via transit cards and work IDs.

he said this way back when in the 60s......and how we laughed.

much of what he felt has come to pass.
