More Than Passing Fashion

I am very thrilled about this programm inclusion in the main stream part of NY cultural life. Last November 2006, took place inNew York the first ever Latin American Cultural Week. This a brain child of mine, was developed under the direction of myself and Polly Ferman, under the umbrella of Pamar, a non for profit foundation created by Mrs. Ferman. The project even though it was a complete success, is not going to be repeated this year due to lack of money. Last year's event was sponsored by the two directors of the program; but every possible institution contacted in NY for the under writting of the programm, rejected our pledge not seeing enough value on attaching their names to it. We only counted with the moral support of Sothebys and Christies who helped with the promotion. But from Merryl Lynch, to Time Warner to numerous other corporations, we received lots of false hopes until their backs were turned on us. I am really excited about this project now. Congratulaciones !
