When FDR Prayed Over the Air

This paragraph: "The New York Times, arguing for a pullout, admits that the result may very well be genocide. That is seen as somehow preferable to continuing a conflict that has produced American casualties of the magnitude of those suffered in the first 24 hours after American forces landed in Normandy." is certainly a pusillanimous way of phrasing support of your opinion. You caould have clearly stated that we lost more men killed in the first day at Normandy than we have so far lost in the past five years in Iraq. Or something like that. But that's beside the point. Using small losses to support the Iraq effort is to be fighting on a no-win battlefield. And it is worse than absurd for the proponents of a pullout to support their view with casualty numbers. Freedom of the press proponents should not be very proud of the agenda driven opinion moulding they are engaged in with their daily body counts.
