I THINK THE CLOSING OF HOSPITALS IN NEW YORK CITY IS A BIG MISTAKE TO MAKE IN THIS CENTURY WHEN AMERICA IS CONSTANTLY BEING THREATENED,THE PROBLEM IS NOT HOSPITALS, ITS THE DRUGS COMPANY THATS MAKING MANY PROFITS WHILE SERVICES DECLINE.BEFORE THEY DECIDE TO CLOSE HOSPITALS IN ANY AREA THEY SHOULD ASSEST THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY FIRST AND MOST IMPOTANTLY . I WORK IN VICTORY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN BAYRIDGE.THE RESIDENTS IN THIS AREA DEPENDS ON THE HOSPITAL THE RESIDENTS ARE ARE MOSTLY ELDERLY PEOPLE THAT DEPENDS ON THE CONVIENCY OF THE HOSPITAL. THE TWO CLOSET HOSPITALS AROUND IS ALREADY FULL. OUR HOSPITAL HAD MANY PROBLEMS DUE TO THE LACK OF BAD MANAGEMENT THOSE LEADERSHIP ARE GONE NOW SO WE ARE TRYING TO TURN AROUND THE FACALITY ,BUT BECAUSE OF THIS COMMISSION IT'S GOING TO BE A VERY DIFFICULT TASK . THE WORKERS THERE ARE DEDICATED AND VERY OBLIGATED TO THEIR PROFFESSION AND THEIR PATIENTS IT WOULD BE A GREAT LOSS TO THE NEIGHBOURHOOD IF THEY SHOULD CLOSE THIS HOSPITAL/NURSING HOME.
