Michael you couldn't be more accurate with this article. With the disappointing second half to the Giants season a year ago and a first round exit in the playoffs to the Eagles, many Giants fans believed it was time the Giants go in a different direction. With Eli Manning still struggling with consistency after being the started for two years and many players publicly criticizing the coaching staff throughout the season, a new coach was in order for Big Blue. But as you stated with the list of coaches available this off season compared the coaches that will be available next season, the Giants are just delaying the inevitable the this will be Coughlin's last season coaching the Giants. Unless miraculously Eli Manning becomes an MVP type quarterback and Brandon Jacobs fills in the hole at running with retirement of Tiki Barber, the Giants season will probably end in frustration and with the exit of Tom Coughlin. In addition, the NFC East can be one of the most competitive divisions in football this season with the Eagles, Cowboys, and Redskins. I hate to say it because I am a die heart Giant fan, but I am already starting to look ahead to the 2008 season.
