I forget how many years ago the US bailed out the Peso by forgiving $millions [billions?] in Mexican debt. Mexico needs an "infusion" [return/retention] of its own irate citizens -- which would happen if [when?] we seal our borders and start enforcing employment laws. Instead of imagining the effect on the US of "A Day Wi/O Mexicans", imagine a day, week, month, and year in Mexico of all those displaced Mexican citizens. As for Mr. Badillo's suggestion -- the US only has will [money] enough to help one nation who are not willing [able?] to help themselves. Mexico has made no move to correct the economic climate in its nation. They spend more funding 64 Consulates in the US and lobbying cities to accept the Mex.ID, and partnering with local school districts to provide education centers for Mexican citizens to gain a GED or providing hundres of thousands of text books [in Spanish, natch] so that Mexican citizens and the children of Mexican citizens in our schools will learn about "their culture". [Ooops.... That sentence to away from me] ... but the money spent on all of those programs would do more good if spent in Mexico to help build a viable economy that can support the millions of Mexicans who now are pushed out by corruption and indifference.
