This proves that we should get our troops out of Iraq? That al Qaeda had to lie to make itself seem relevant and that the Iraqi Sunni and Shi'a are opposed to the foreign thugs? That sounds like progress to me, but by no means is that a free pass to leave the Iraqis high and dry. Whether or not one believes that the war in Iraq was a good idea, this is the mess we've made and we cannot just abandon the people that depend on us. Leaving the moment things start to look up isn't logical. Or is it that we aren't allowed to win this?
