Give Credit Where It Is Due

Submitted by Scott Baker, Jul 20, 2007 11:16

I'm no fan of George Bush - I believe the recent intelligence assessment that Al-Qaeda has gotten stronger during his watch. However, I will say this: Al-Qaeda has about 10-15 years before it is simply overwhelmed by the rest of the world's prosperity. By then it will become clear to the parents of future jihadists, if not to the die-easy jihadists themselves, that something is amiss in their nihilistic model of the world. Allah may curse the infidels, but he sure has a funny way of showing it; while the terrorist states live in squallor, fear and poverty, the rest of world just lives better and better, despite the occassional body-blows from Al-Qaeda. If the parents of the next generation of islamists finally realize that Allah helps those who help themselves, it will be all over for Al-Qaeda and its ilk. Mr. Kudlow is Right on that.
