The Dangers of the Fairness Doctrine

it seems to me that the American, TV viewing, public can differentiate between entertainment and politics. Law & Order starring Fred Dalton Thompson as District Attorney Arthur Branch is not politics. It is entertainment.. Fred Thompson is running for President of the Untied States, that is politics. As an actor on a TV show, he is supposed to deliver his lines from a script that is written for the character of Arthur Branch. The public should, and most likely will, not confuse the two.

The career of an actor should not be cut short only because he is running for political office.
