Giants' Position Battles To Watch During Camp

Submitted by J. Ross, Jul 24, 2007 12:43

I am high on jacobs for three reasons in particular. Each due to things not talled about and were 2 actions he took in preseason and one during a season. One of the pre- was when he broke through a hole on the right side and ran the lenth of the field so fast that he actual spread the distance between him and his pursuers (DB's). The next was how he caught a ball in LB territory and took off and the fear in those who were expected to tackle him. The last was an in season expereince where he was 2 or 3 yards out from the goal line and moved foward saw there was no hole and cut to the right and practically went in untouched. Upon coming back to the bench Coach Coghlin berated him form deviating from his straight ahead deviation, instead of congradulating him for his obvious vision. That is what wories me more then Jacobs ability (which as ball player in college and semi-pro experiences) I see he has. My question is will Mr. C. utilize his abilities or will he as he has so so much in the past try to make round pegs fit in square holes?
