Sandbar Stops Oil Tanker Off Bayonne, Damages Hull

If this was a serious accident, the Dry Dock at the old M.O.T.B.Y ( Military Ocean Terminal of Bayonne )would have been ready to perform the necessary repairs to get the ship back on its course.

But leaving it up to the B.L.R.A. ( Bayonne Local Redevelopment Authority ), oil would have been everywhere and leaving the ship to sink! They are choosing to shut down its operation completely by 2017. The two year extension that the B.L.R.A. has elected to grant the historic graving dock was initially to close its operation by 2015. You see, they would prefer that this dry dock, one of the largest graving on the east coast, be filled in with water to make way for millionaires yachts! In fact, the 2 year extension won't even allow work to be done in the last 5 years of the lease agreement...Go figure?
