small but important point of clarification- the Russians burned Moscow as a deliberate act, not the French. The Russians deliberately put a scorched earth policy in place and let General Winter and distance etc do most of the damage to the invaders.

Its also worth mentioning that had Napoleon not come back in 1815 the Allies were heading towards war with France, England, Prussia v Russia and maybe Austria.
