As a Greek Orthodox who still calls the city of "Istanbul" by its eternal name, Constantinople, I was elated reading this article by Wallace Johnson in the form of more than a commentary-perhaps an editorial expressing the newspaper's -and perhaps the non-Islamic world's opinion.

Though I have no respect for the present "Ecumnical Patriarch" who does not really represent any particular nation's faithful though he is touted not as a leader among equals but as the "Pope of the East" by his corrupt supporters and associates from the United States, I still believe that the legacy started by Constantine the Great, a Roman Emperor at that, should not be vanquished, but must live on as a symbol of Christian triumph.

The article is well written and to the point, exposing Islam for what it is. A religion that triumphed by the sword and thrived due to its tolerance of polygamy and endless procreation, which is now threatening not only a destablized Europe but the world as a whole. As far as the Turks, there will never be any different from their Ottoman ancestors, despite Kemal, a Latin alphabet, the elimination of the fez or any other external signs.
