I ran across this article this morning, and I couldn't tell at first if it was a joke piece (aka "the Onion"). Since it appears to be serious, I can't think of a better title for Mr. Kazimi's comments. What else could you call someone ignoring civil war, a massive refugee crisis, and increasing regional instability to make the ludicrous statement that they're all just easily-solved by GPS tracking devices?
Mr. Kazimi is as out of touch with reality as Bush and his inner circle. He fails to understand why the invasion of Iraq was destined to produce exactly this result, and worse, he advocates exacerbating the problem by suggesting that we can quell the insurgency by more severely punishing those whom are rising up against the U.S. occupation - great idea. Perhaps the NY Sun could spring for a flak jacket and plane ticket to send Mr. Kazimi over to Iraq for a few weeks to cover the conflict first-hand. Perhaps he'd gain an appreciation for how complex the conflict is, and how narrow-minded and overly-simplistic his own views are.
