I'll assume three things: You need to protect their identity for now because you didn't state it; your sources for this information are solid; and you have contacted this Michigan group and received confirmation of their interests. But a quick toss-in without stating whether contact has been made between them and the Blazers and when, or any other details, is simply lacking. It's that endless teaser for the nightly news that strings along an audience and substitutes for actual stories. In other words, including this in your article is both a waste of words and has the appearance of trying to get a scoop without actually providing substance.
