I noted the remarks your article credited to Sen. Dodd, and Biden, both of whom were at the debate, as presidential candidates. Sen. Biden dismissed the back and forth exchanges between Sen. Obama and Sen. Clinton, as squabble, and laments that, it would give Republicans opening. Sen. Dodd on the other hand, contends that the exchanges are a "false debate" deplores it.
However, I think the ongoing exchanges between Sen. Obama and Sen. Clinton is very important and critical to prospective voters, because, the exchanges give the voters an insight into the philosophical mindset that would shape how each of these two candidates, may conduct our foreign policy, should one of them be elected, President of the United States.
To use the dreaded words in contemporary politics, it is naive and irresponsible for Sen. Biden and Dodd (both of whom, are candidates in the presidential race), to minimize the import of the exchanges between Sen. Obama and Sen. Clinton.
Unlike the so-called journalists who operate in the Washington Beltway, who have been reporting the 2008 presidential campaign with their vested interests and congenital bias, I hope and am confident that New Hamphire journalists would take the time to objective report on the campaigns of these candidates, to enable the public to make a better choice of who will lead this nation and the world community in the next four years.
Listening to her previous criticisms of the Bush-Cheney administration, in which she castigated President Bush for not wanting to talk with adverserial foreign leaders, and her response and castigation of Sen. Obama for saying that he would talk to these adverseries, the American people and prospective voters in the 2008 still do not who what Sen. Clinton's position is. She has been consistently, inconsistent. Just listen or read the transcript of Sen. Clinton's most recent interview on a CNN news program. The voters need to ask: what does Sen. Clinton really believes, and why has she been consistently inconsistent on this current issue, as she has been on the authorization to go to war? She keeps blaming President Bush for the War in Iraq, but has failed to take any personal responsibility, as a member of the senate that authorized the war. Is this a character flaw -inability to take personal responsibility, and candor?
The voters are taking note.
