Fordham Has Big Plans for Lincoln Square Campus
in response to reader comment: Fordham Lincoln Center Expansion

Submitted by Renato Besabe Jr., Jul 30, 2007 09:48

First and foremost, Fordham University did not evict the tenants of this land mid last century. New York City did. Let us all take a step back and really think about what is going on here. The purpose of that land was to add to the higher education and broaden the minds of NYC's ambitious youth. If in fact selling that sliver of land is the best way to promote this great machine of liberal minds, then Fordham University has and continues to do its part. Let me interject myself by stating that for personal reasons, I am against the University disposing of such valuable property. While the University is not a for-profit institution, the public must realize that in our society profit is a foundation necessary to build upon in order achieve the Jesuit's and New York City's goal of developing an enlightened community
