Mr. Andrew Wolf

Dear Mr. Wolf,

After reading your column this morning, my wife and I immediately wrote to Mayor Micheal Bloomberg expressing our outrage at his prejudicial, self-serving reaction to the killing of Sean Bell. We fear that his actions in concert with the most corrupt, race-baiting hucksters indicate a willingness to sacrifice our city to his future, political designs. We immediately saw the absurdity of labeling, after the fact and before a proper investigation, the actions of the officers involved, "excessive," and thank you for making that point. Your suggestion that the Mayor make a "gesture" towards our police who are, somewhat ironically considering what has recently transpired, largely responsible for the success of the Bloomberg Administration, is not something a true leader need be told. Thank you for this column and all the others; we so appreciate your insight. By the way, my wife and I are two recently retired, New York City, public high school teachers, with seventy years if service between the two of us.
