Amsterdam Houses Celebrate 60 Years

Submitted by Edward A. White, Jul 31, 2007 17:22

I served as pastor of Good Shepherd Faith Presbyterian Church at 152 West 66th Street from 1956 - 1964. GSF is one of the few buildings still standing in the area like Amsterdam Houses. Most of our membership at the time came from the Amsterdam and Phipps Houses. At the time the congregation was interracial and bilingual with services in English and Spanish. Today Good Shepherd has services in English and Korean. Diane Lacey Wunley is the pastor.
