Obama Seeks To Bolster Security Credentials

While Obama's articulates with ease he is naive about the kind of war we are fighting. The enemy is radical Islam and its tool is terrorism. It is not in one place - like Afghanistan; there is a worldwide net-work of terrorism and al Qaeda is an umbrella organization for many of the terrorist groups.

The 'civil war' in Iraq is being stirred up by al Qaeda. Leaving that country will lead to mass slaughter, Iran will extend her sway over the region. Syria -already heavily involved in Lebanon- is already in Iran's corner. The survival of Jordan, Egypt, and Israel will hang in the balance as Iran's goal will be the creation of a radical Islamist state across the Middle East. Europe is already described as 'Eurabia' with national dis-tinctions blurred by the large Muslim population. Threats of more terrorism abound there - like the London and Madrid bombings.

The United States has been warned of large scale attacks on major cities. The objective is to undermine the American community and destroy the democratic character of the country. This is the plan for Western civilization; the goal of radical Islam is the creation of a worldwide caliphate with strict Islamic law.

Any candidate who advocates the abandonment of Iraq by a particular date will be advancing the plan of the enemies of the West; notifying an enemy of one's plans in advance is no strategy for winning a war. It is a defeatist attitude that only emboldens the adversary. Obama does not understand that we are not in a war like those of the past- against a country- but rather a conflict against an ideology that does not have one address. It would be folly to elect such an inexperienced person - no matter how smart- to the presidency in such critical times in world history. Americans should be forewarned that if we leave Iraq the war will follow us more quickly to mainland U.S.
