Cell Phone Holdouts: It's Not 1990 Anymore

Submitted by Becci, Aug 2, 2007 06:05

I disagree that cell phones decrease the quality of communication since it is each person's own decision how they want to use cell phones to communicate. People who feel that cell phones are more of a liability need to practice more self-discipline. Independence is not lost – it is gained! Younger children are now safer to go places on their own since they can contact parents. Also, one does not have to answer one's phone when it is inconvenient… the "vibrate" or "silent" options were created for a reason and I strongly advise them.
