Edwards Attacks Saudi Arms Deal

I certainly agree with John Edwards that Congress should scrutinize this arms deal very carefully. While the government of Saudi Arabia has been friendly to the U.S., its people are not. Lest we forget, the 9-11 hijackers were principally from this nation, and it is one of the most authoritarian regimes in the world. We do not need to contribute further to the arms race in the Middle East. Also, what would happen should there be a coup in that country and a less friendly regime take power? They would then have the latest in arms technology that could be used against us.
