I forgot 'Look Who's Talking,' a movie that clearly trumps the goodness of abortion... except when Kirstie Alley decides to, you know, keep the baby and raise it even though the father is a cad. Oh and did I mention that abortion actually only comes up once in the entire movie, when Alley's character says, "I'm not going to have an abortion"? Wasn't that movie wildly successful and big Hollywood? And did you forget Miranda from 'Sex and the City' or Andrea from 'Beverly Hills 90210', both shows were wildly popular and both of these characters decided to have their babies rather than opt for abortion, a decision that they were both shown as agonizing over? Maybe you shouldn watch more TV and movies before condemning an entire industry.

Abortion may be wrong in your mind, but to many women it is a necessity. And to make it seem as if its a decision women come to overnight is just irresponsible. For many women, there is no other option, and if it were to be made illegal, millions of these women would be relegated to back-alleys and wire hangers. The majority of this country isn't pro-choice because its a "billion-dollar industry," as you claim. They are pro-choice because they believe that a woman should have the right to a safe, legal abortions, which are necessary for a variety of health and safety reasons, without buttinskys like you trying to guilt them out of it.
