It is the same with addictive thinking: facts don't matter. I was the subject of an abortion. At 17, my mother was pregnant, and was caught between her own desires to raise the baby (me), or have an abortion. My grandmother, my father's mother, was pushing abortion hard. My grandfather, dad's father, a retired police officer said; "We're not having any of that." And so I was allowed to live, my execution stayed. At that time 1960, abortion was not legal. I often wonder how determined my grandfather would have been to save me - if It had been legal. The only way to make the pro-abortion crowd think twice, would be to launch a campaign by pro-lifers that says: "Liberals please abort your children." Using abortion as a political tool to gain ascendency might jolt them into recognition of the cost. Maybe.
