Lawmakers Seek To Pressure China Over Killings in Darfur

Submitted by Wangchuk, Aug 7, 2007 15:50

China is assisting genocide in Darfur. China is engaging in cultural genocide in Tibet and Xinjiang. China is abusing the rights of Tibetans, Uyghurs, Mongolians, Falun Gong followers and political dissidents. China is polluting its own environment and the environment of other nations. The Chinese Government doesn't deserve the Olympic Games and the IOC should be embarrassed for awarding the Games to Beijing. Many human rights groups have found that China has not improved human rights in the run-up to the 2008 Games and in fact, conditions have gotten worse. It's time the world stood up to China & made China pay the price for its human rights violations against millions of people.
