Stage Call for Thompson

Submitted by Curtis41, Aug 7, 2007 20:09

Fred Thompson is thorough and is carrying out a test the waters campaign on his own terms and some folks just don't like or understand that. He is developing a platform, calling on congressional and other support and doing his homework. The attacks are superficial and really quite innocuous. The real skinny is that we will likely have a choice between a southern conservative or a moderate and a far left socialist in the general election. It was great for the Democrats to probably nominate a highly polarizing figure among the other better choices, so despite the early rush to judgement as it were, Fred presents a moving target for the Democrats and now that Newt is likely not running, the GOP field is truly open. Fred Thompson presents a viable alternative to a warmed over socialized medicine scheme, one that is largely failed in Canada and other countries. Please do not complain about weeks and months to get a medical appointment long term. Don't complain about higher taxes and a cut and run policy for terrorists. Forget about the 2nd and 14th amendments, we will just throw them out once we get another social engineer or two on the Supreme Court. There is a world of difference between the republic that Fred Thompson proposes and the one we would certainly get under Clintons. Fred Thompson has not missed any stage call, he is right on target and a heck of a lot smarter than some have given him credit. Please get ready to count chads. Fred is coming in early September, in his own sweet time. That just drives a lot of the liberal pundits and bloggers nuts. :-)
