Dear Robert,

Thank you for your comments. When "Shock & Awe" began in 2003, the US Military dropped pver 300 tonnes of depleted Uranium munitions on Iraq. The misconception here is that peolpe/soldiers are unaware that upon impact DU munitions release a cloud of toxic radiologal vapors, in which the soldiers are unknowingly inhaling and ingesrting. Once DU particles have entered the lungs/bloodstream it sets the person up for long term health affects I.E Cancer. Remind you, the DU vapors/dust are also airborne so any human or animal including civilians and non-combat soldiers as my sister who is a Chaplain---are exposed to it, as the piece states their has been a spike in cancers throughout Iraq. As a result we are seeing soldiers medEvac directly from theatre with rare stages of Cancer...as well as soldiers stricken with Cancer 1 - 2 years post Iraq, as there is an incubation period. Some soldiers are facing aggressive chemo treatments, while others, I'm sorry to say, have died with months of contamination.
