Christian Leader: Romney's Mormon Faith Could Hinder Presidential Bid
in response to reader comment: Mitt Romney and the Mormon Church Political Machine

It's a shame that certain people have such an overwhelming paranoia regarding Mormonism. Kathy, I would guess, was probably divorced from a Mormon or was once a Mormon herself. Nobody, poor Kathy, especially any type of "operative", is tracking you down. Chances are that you are on the Church rolls as a member, former member or interested investigator. If you wish to be left alone, simply renounce your membership or interest and request to be taken off the rolls. Or, better yet, since you seem to have Mormonophobia, leave Utah. They won't miss you. There are plenty of other states where conspiracy theories, Hillary Clinton's New York for instance, abound. Be warned, however, there are plenty of Jehovah's Witnesses, Evangelical Youth Ministries and Hari Krishnas that may "persecute" you in other places. Too bad, Kathy, that you know so little of Mormon history that you would even consider that the persecute could ever engage in persecution. Check your facts, do your research, look up Lilburn Boggs of Illinois and the extermination order. It is one thing to be harbor a hatred of a people based on their religious beliefs (by the way, that is the beginnings of "religeous persecution") and quite another to spread lies and paranoid speculations regarding practices you know nothing about. If you wish to employ such hate speech and circulate false information regarding the Church, there are plenty of websites where you can vent your wrath. Really, Kathy, you show your own ignorance when you post such an unbelievable diatribe such as yours and foster falsehoods against a good, Christian, moral and charitable organization such as the LDS Church. Yep, it's a shame...and Kathy, shame on you.
