My Romney Problem
in response to reader comment: J Lee is wrong

Mr. Stank I truly sympathize with those who are attracted to those of the same sex. But the argument that "that's just the way I am...and God must be OK with it" is a boundless trap that can be used by anyone for anything. My flesh (not my spirit, my flesh) would love to sleep in every day, look at pornography hours on end, commit adultury every now and then, be unemployed, and so on and so on. But these tendencies must not only be controlled, but overcome! They lead a man away from the presence of God, in this life and in the next. That's not scare tactics, it's the gospel of Jesus Christ. Hence, my religion helps me to CHOOSE wisely, not throw the towel in. My church doesn't hate me or turn me away if I mess up. It helps me repent, and get back on the straight and narrow. To say a man has no CHOICE in the matter is to put us on the same level as animals, ruled by instinct.

We are sons and daughters of a living God Mr. Stank, with the opportunity to return to his presence if we will trust him and keep his commandments. If we can learn to rule ourselves, he will give us all that he hath.
