Wisconsin's Medical Experiment

How terrible Wisconsin is - rich people will have to give one of life's important things (fancy restaurant meals, a luxury vacation, a first class plane ticket - all truly essential things) in order that some working class people who wash dishes or sweep floors can go to the doctor. Meanwhile, important tax breaks for "capital gains income" may be whittled down as well. Sure, health insurance for everyone will save lives when people go to the doctor before their cancer or heart disease is too far along. But so long as the important powerful people have access to healthcare, why worry about anyone else?

The marginal utility of an extra luxury for the rich, thin, beautiful people outweighs the basic needs of ordinary people if we start from the assumption that people with money matter and people without money are just work animals - put them out of their misery when they can't tote that bale.
