Cheating Is Killing Sports

Submitted by Kenneth Parady, Aug 10, 2007 09:39

Alicia, We work with athletes throughout the country building mental skills in sport and can tell you the cheating is not new. It is only expanding. Even today colleges are cheating on recuriting by inflating grades, stacking tests and allowing players who can not pass a SAT take 8th grade courses for the first two years of elgibility in order to play. Have you ever noticed the great players never play pass their Junior years? The 1st 2 years are remedial courses, the 3rd year are elective courses (cooking, sports history, creative writing, etc) and in the final year they find themselves lacking any required courses for graduation. Their educational experience is "0".
