Sorry, can't miss a chance to make a Joe Morgan comment.

I really think the Chavez/Kotsay contracts are the problems. Beane took Chavez over Tejada - defensible, but it sure hasn't worked out.

Tough to win when you don't spend that much money and you have so much coin going to players with average production.
