Well... I think you missed the point here. You are probably one of those that had to pay thousands of dollars for a good education and live in fairly good health.

First of all it is true... Canadians do complain about their healthcare but you forget that in order to get anything in this life you must ask for it. Canadians are a fairly patient people so things have to start to get really out of hand before anyone starts to complain... when they finally do the government responds by fixing the problem. Don't forget that beurocracy exists in any system and it takes time... not to mention that there is a shortage of population and skilled workers to add to the system. Healthcare is also controlled regionally and as far as I know there are only two Provinces having constant problems mostly due to the politicians who again would rather support the big local pharmacuetical companies they have invested in instead of the people.

Second of all.... Mal-practice law suits.....???? They almost don't exist in Canada, U.K., France, etc. In Canada, depending on where you are, the doctors pay into a common insurance fund and any law suits are first reviewed by an entire government department before proceeding to court. The department stops the fradulent cases (85% of all cases) from entering the court rooms. You people are just going to have to stop suing eachother for every small thing.

Third of all.... Canada and other parts of the world contribute the same ammount, if not more, to medical science then the U.S. Just get your head out of you a** and look around to see where many of the breakthroghs and technologies are coming from .

The point was that maybe if the government would care a little more about its people then you would not have to pay so much for your education and those people managing insurane companies could be put to better use managing hospitals and health systems. You don't realise that individually you are paying more to the insurace companies then you would collectively through taxes.

Don't fall for all that American propaganda thrown at you... half of it is nothing but big talk and empty promises.

An example of how your system dosen't work.... let's say 60 pills of Amox... now the Canadian dollar is almost at par with yours so let's comapre. Canada: $35.00 U.S. $89.00. This is a simple common medication used for most common bacterial infections.

Think about it.
