Not only are they losing, but the A's are a boring team. A bunch of slow, goateed frat boys who just don't generate any excitement on the field. Part of baseball is aesthetic-- I like to watch graceful, fast-moving players who field well, steal bases, hit doubles and triples up the gap. Who wants to watch one of those husky Athletics take pitches and draw walks? Billy Beane is a good GM on paper who I'm sure will succeed again, but he puts together a snooze of a team.
