Christina, I thought your article was very well written, factual, and very interesting. The comparisons you drew between the D-Backs and the Phils may explain why this year's trading deadline was so quiet. Teams have grown more reluctant to deal their budding talent. Maybe this is also why the Angels were quiet despite the need for someone to bat behind Vlad with more authority. As always, your insight is much appreciated.
