Skip Iowa Next Time

You can't put a price tag on the votes for the Iowa Straw Poll. The money spent leading to that point is not all for some unoffical vote held in Ames, Iowa, but also the Caucus later in the year. Sure, money was spent on getting people there but that is only to show what one can do in organizing supporters, which is just what a future President will need to do to repair the wounds of this country. I see the organization by those candidates as a big show of strength to get people out of their air-conditioned homes in a smeltering Iowa summer, which I have experienced a lot of, having lived there for 19 years. When you can get Republicans to give up comfort to go and support you in a vote that is unoffical, even the left can't deny it, that means something.

Besides that, it is expensive to get a message out espeically when you are a relative unknown. I would bet that a year ago Romney or Huckabee weren't even known possibilities in Iowa but now they are front runners in that state and I think its great that such men can organize their efforts so quickly as to win the support of Iowans.
